Research Interests

Climate change offers unprecedented challenges and opportunities for learning about the Earth system and how our designed world interacts with it. Research in Dr. Walker’s group integrates data analytics, simulation of atmospheric chemistry and transport, and Earth observation from satellites to study the combined effects of atmospheric pollution on health and the climate. Dr. Walker also promotes engineering education using alternative modes such as hackathons and citizen science as means of preparing students for work with industry and in data analysis.
