Carleton International has partnered with the institutions listed below to offer research placements under the SCIPP project in specific fields and specialized areas. Students with experience, background, and interest in these fields are invited to apply to visit a Project Partner.
To apply for a placement, review the partner’s requirements carefully, complete the application form and submit with the supporting documents (CV, Letter of Support from the Carleton Supervisor) to mobility.programs@carleton.ca by April 8, 2026. Note that applications to Project Partners do not require letters of invitation to be included, as students will be matched with supervisors following the final selection of candidates based on their research interests and expertise.

Supervision at Institution: Students will be assigned supervisors following the final selection based on projects and/or research areas of interest. Students can choose from existing projects at the partner or propose their own research projects.

- Have an advanced level of fluency in English;
- Have a minimum of five years of work experience with practical knowledge and skills in heritage management, conservation, interpretation, presentation, digitalisation, etc.; or
- Have work experience (preferably at a managerial level) in World Heritage–related projects at international organisations such as UNESCO; or
- currently hold an academic affiliation and demonstrate academic achievements, including at least three SCI-indexed publications in the field of heritage (World Heritage) within the past five years.
