Please follow the instructions below to attend a Learning Support Session:
Login Carleton 360 and click on ‘MySuccess’ followed by ‘Continue’.
Click on the three bars on the top left corner of MySuccess to open a navigation bar. Then select the downward arrow beside the ‘Centre for Student Academic Support’.
In the left-hand navigation bar, click the downward arrow beside ‘Learning Support’, followed by ‘Learning Support Sessions’.
Please note, if you click on the Learning Support Sessions circle icon, you will be brought back to the CSAS website. Instead, use the side navigation bar as outlined above.
Select ‘Book by Appointment Type’ and choose a date and time slot that works best for you.
After you have booked a session, you will receive a confirmation email with details regarding the day, time, and location of the appointment.
Arrive a few minutes before the start of your appointment and wait in the main area to be called by your session provider. If you have not arrived for the session after 10 minutes of its start time, you will be marked as a “no show” and will have to re-book your session at a different date and time.
Please note: If a student is marked as a “no show” on three or more occasions, they will need to email CSAS at firstname.lastname@example.org in order to discuss booking sessions in the future. To avoid this, please ensure that you cancel your session if you are unable to attend.
Learning support sessions are provided by PLAs and can be focused on one skill or many. These sessions are intended to be student-focused and help students strengthen their skills and develop new active learning strategies.
PLAs are also very knowledgeable about campus services, can suggest referrals for additional support both within CSAS and across campus, and help students develop an action plan to ensure they are meeting their academic goals.
