Program Description
Presentations and interactive events facilitated by Faculty and Department representatives. First year students will have the opportunity to learn about departmental supports while meeting members of their Faculty of study. The information provided during Academic Orientation Day (AOD) is specific to each student’s faculty and department and is a great way to prepare you for your academic career. Faculty-specific resources will also be shared with participants.
Participation Type
Participation is mandatory for all first year, undergraduate students.

The program focuses on helping students adapt socially, academically, and culturally to Carleton and the Ravens community through a week full of fun activities during the start of September.
CU 1001 – Your Start to Student Life at Carleton
A free online bundled mini course experience that provides new students with a focused introduction to the Carleton community and prepares you for your journey as a Raven.
CU 1001 – Experience Days
The opportunity for new students and their family/guests to attend in-person presentations and receive tours of Carleton’s beautiful campus led by upper year students. Must be registered in CU 1001 General Course to gain access.
