CUESEF stands for Carleton Undergraduate Engineering Students’ Equipment Fund. CUESEF was established on November 12, 1993 by an engineering student referendum in order to supplement funding for equipment and/or services required to improve the education of Carleton University undergraduate engineering students.
The premise of CUESEF is simple. CUESEF collects donations of $50 a year from each undergraduate engineering student and puts the donation into a fund. The interest earned on the fund is spent each year on lab equipment and academic tools. The principal portion of the fund is never spent which allows the interest each year to grow, hence “The Gift That Keeps On Giving”.
The Board of Allocators is made up of four student representatives from each of the Faculty’s departments, and at least three Faculty members including the Dean of the Faculty of Engineering and Design.
