Candice Harris is a graduate student at Carleton University, where she is developing a novel scale based on the Transtheoretical Model of Behavioural Change. This tool measures individual readiness to integrate equity, diversity, and inclusion (EDI) practices within post-secondary STEM environments, offering a practical framework for institutional transformation.

With undergraduate degrees spanning both arts and sciences, Candice brings a distinctive cross-disciplinary perspective to science communication, institutional design, and behavioural science. She has co-led the creation of multiple EDI resources for STEM, contributed to Indigenous-led Collaborative Indigenous Learning Bundles for the Sciences, and developed prize-winning educational songs, animations, and interactive tools. Her innovative approach bridges rigorous quantitative data analysis with creative communication strategies, making complex concepts accessible and actionable.

Through these efforts, Candice drives systems-level change in science education and mental health support, emphasizing inclusive design that resonates across diverse learner communities. Her work aligns directly with EDIT-STEM’s mission by embedding EDI principles into the fabric of interactive learning technologies and research practices.
