Amer Abdelgany is a PhD candidate at the Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) and Carleton University, where he investigates the dynamics of antimicrobial resistance genes within the gut microbiome using mouse models. Amer is co-supervised by Dr. Jiewen Guan at the CFIA.
