My research in the summer of 2023 was focused on measuring the flame propagation of aluminum powder in the EPTL’s new batch reactor and investigating the impact of cold plasma on aluminum powder reactivity. Joining the EPTL as an undergraduate research assistant proved to be an excellent opportunity to develop problem solving skills due to the unforeseen issues that can happen in the lab. Working with the EPTL was also a great opportunity to learn how to communicate and coordinate with a team. Additionally, working in the lab allowed me to get hands-on experience and apply some of the concepts that I have learned during my undergrad so far.
