We are excited to announce Dr. Michele Lewis‘, 2023-2024 Fulbright Distinguished Chair, publication in Psychology Today. Dr. Lewis’ article is titled “Anxious About Mis-Gendering a Non-Binary Person?” which discusses the importance of pronouns, the cultural neuroscientific challenges, and the socio-cultural stigma and resistance.
Michele Lewis is a 2023-2024 Fulbright Distinguished Chair, Arts and Social Sciences. Lewis is a professor and psychologist visiting from Winston-Salem State University, NC, USA. She centers non-western frameworks in Black Psychology, cross-cultural experiences, and cultural neuroscience among marginalized populations. She writes a monthly blog for Psychology Today, entitled Cultural Neuroscience: The Social Life of Our Brains.
