Call for Proposals

Sprott School of Business is now accepting proposals for new professional development workshops, courses, and programs for 2026-27 delivery through Future EDge Professional Education. We welcome visionary ideas that equip business professionals with the skills, competencies, and perspectives needed to thrive in today’s dynamic work landscape. 

Future EDge offers high-impact, flexible, and innovative non-credit professional education that helps business professionals and organizations upskill, reskill, and lead with confidence. Our current portfolio includes offerings in management skills, human resources, project management, AI, financial management, and leadership. 

Who should apply: 

• Carleton instructors and faculty members with expertise that translates academic and applied knowledge into practical, market-responsive professional learning 
• External practitioners and professional educators with real-world experience delivering skills-based or continuing education programs 

What we are looking for: 

We are seeking proposals that demonstrate: 

• Clear alignment to evolving industry and professional needs
• Practical, applicable learning outcomes
• Engagement with current trends such as leadership, technology, accessibility, sustainability, data and business intelligence, AI, and sector-specific competencies
• Strong evidence of demand or impact for learners
• Draw on Carleton’s research strengths and interdisciplinary expertise
• Relevant to the needs of the business community in the National Capital Region 

Program Formats:

We are considering proposals for a range of formats including, but not limited to: 

• Short courses
• Certificate programs
• Multi-module certificate programs
• Workshops or intensive bootcamps
• Custom corporate training solutions 

Proposal Requirements: 

1. Title and description 
2. Target audience and learning outcomes 
3. Delivery mode(s) 
4. Market/Industry needs and differentiation 
5. Estimated duration and contact hours 
6. Preliminary budget and resource needs 
7. Assessment and evaluation approach 
8. Proposed instructor(s) and necessary qualifications

Proposals should be submitted by email to FutureEDge@carleton.ca by the submission deadline. If you have questions or wish to discuss your proposal, you may contact us via the same email address.   

Multiple proposals are encouraged but must be submitted separately.
