Vahid Sadeghian

Dr. Vahid Sadeghian is an Assistant Professor at the Department of Civil and Environmental
Engineering at Carleton University. Before Joining Carleton, he worked at the Structural Group of Arup in Toronto. He received his PhD and MASc degrees from the University of Toronto and his BASc degree from the University of Tehran. Dr. Sadeghian has over 10 years of experience in teaching, research, and consulting and is a registered PEng with Professional Engineers Ontario. He has more than 30 peer-reviewed scientific publications in different areas of structural engineering. His research interests and consulting experience mainly include behaviour of aging and repaired structures, design of structures built from modern materials, and structural response under extreme loads including earthquakes, blasts, and multi-hazard events.
