This introductory course equips new leaders with the skills to leverage emotional intelligence (EI) for effective leadership and team influence.

Participants will complete an emotional intelligence assessment and engage in discussions and real world scenarios, leading to the development of personalized action plans.

Day 2: Managerial Communications

This module equips participants with essential skills for effective workplace communication, focusing on active listening, constructive feedback, and overcoming communication barriers. It explores strategies for aligning communication with organizational goals, delivering and receiving feedback constructively, and fostering continuous improvement. Through practical scenarios and activities, participants develop actionable plans to enhance their communication practices, build stronger relationships, and drive professional success.

Day 4: Managing Self and Others

Successful managers are self-aware of their management strengths and areas for improvement. They also understand the importance of achieving a positive management presence by adapting their leadership style with agility to engage others for accountability and action. This interactive course provides crucial concepts, tools, and techniques for enhancing one’s management presence, leadership style, and communicating effectiveness, especially when informing others of decisions and influencing at all levels for buy-in and commitment. Typical class activities include team class discussion, mini-lectures, videos, live polls, self-reflection, and action-planning.

Day 5 & 6: Organizational Excellence

This 2-day module delves into the essentials of achieving Organizational Excellence with a dynamic and hands-on approach. It begins by helping you understand what organizations are, why they exist, and how they operate, providing a strong foundation for effective leadership and decision-making. The module also explores the pressing challenges organizations face today and why striving for excellence—beyond mere performance—matters in a rapidly evolving business landscape. Guided by the Organizational Excellence Blueprint framework, you’ll learn how to define and align your organization’s focus, structure, and operational flow with its strategic goals and stakeholder expectations. You’ll gain a deeper appreciation for the crucial role managers play within organizations as you explore strategies to optimize team dynamics, enhance customer experiences, and integrate societal and environmental commitments. Finally, the module addresses the vital aspects of sustaining excellence through effective governance, innovative practices, and a culture of continuous improvement, equipping you with the knowledge and tools to drive meaningful, long-term impact across your organization.

Day 7: Resilience and Managing Conflict

This session will explore four key themes. The first theme focuses on tools for managing individual and team priorities. The second examines conflict resolution, emphasizing different perspectives on time management and priorities. The final section covers individual and collective resilience. Case studies, discussions, and real-world scenarios equip participants with practical leadership skills.

Day 8: Fostering Creativity and Innovation

In this session, participants will learn about the foundations of creativity and innovation through a series of lectures and hands-on exercises. Based on principles of design thinking, they will engage in building creative competence within themselves and their teams to identify problems and opportunities, get inspired, and generate novel ideas that can lead to innovation. This session will provide participants with the necessary knowledge and a set of tools that will allow them to begin fostering creativity and innovation successfully within their managerial practices.
