Faranak is a new addition to GRG group from Sharif University of Technology. She obtained her Masters degree on Geotechnical engineering from Sharif. She will conduct research on performance of pile foundations in warming permafrost using numerical models developed based on model pile tests on frozen soils exposed to varying temperature. This research will help with prediction of pile foundations response in permafrost regions when exposed to global warming.
