Application of geosynthetic clay liners in tailing dams
GCLs are typically used as part of a barrier system in municipal solid waste landfills to minimize the escape of leachate into the surrounding environment. This project studies the possibility of using Geosynthetis Clay Liners (GCLs) as a barrier system in tailing dams to control the seepage through the dams and, hence, increase the stability of these structures.
