Title: The indirect impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on obesity across the life course

The COVID-19 pandemic has resulted in unprecedented changes in the activities of daily life for children and adults. Public health prevention strategies implemented to control the spread of COVID-19, including lockdowns and physical distancing, have impacted physical activity, nutrition risk, stress, and health care access. In this seminar, I will present the results of a systematic review and meta-analysis on the indirect impact of the pandemic on obesity and describe the study proposal for a prospective cohort study using data from the Canadian Longitudinal Study on Aging.
