Transcript(s)All post-secondary transcripts are required.
Letters of ReferenceTwo (2) are required and should be submitted by former professors (preferably your project/thesis supervisors) or qualified persons at your place of work.

If the applicant has had some experience in clinical trials and regulatory affairs previously, at least one letter of reference from a supervisor is preferred.

An academic referee is a faculty member with whom you have studied and is able to assess your potential for graduate level study and research. References from non-academic supervisors may be accepted in certain cases i.e. professional references or for professional programs.

NOTE:  References from family members, friends, students, former or current classmates, employees, colleagues and/or Teaching Assistants are not accepted.

Statement of IntentOne (1) is required.

A 500 word future-focused Statement of Intent indicating how you envision the program will advance your career goals and what you intend to do with this degree.

Statement of Relevant Work ExperienceOne (1) is required. This statement should provide a clear, concise, specific, and compelling overview of your background, skills and competencies, relevant work experience, responsibilities and roles, contributions and achievements related to clinical trials and regulatory affairs. Do not exceed 1000 typewritten words in total.
CV/ResuméOne (1) is required. Your CV/Resumé should outline your education and professional work experience.
Language Proficiency (ESL Test Scores)Required, if applicable. For Carleton’s ESL requirements and policies, please visit the ESL Requirements website.
World Education Services (WES) EvaluationRequired, if applicable. For post-secondary education completed outside of Canada a course-by-course academic credential evaluation from World Education Services, please visit WES ICAP Course-By-Course evaluation.

Application Deadlines

Students are only admitted in the Fall term. Admission is not available in the Winter or Summer terms.

The Department of Health Sciences strongly recommends that domestic candidates submit their applications before February 1 in order to be considered for admission. Applications may be considered after February 1 only if space remains in the program. International candidates must submit complete applications before February 1.

How to Apply

Applications will normally not be reviewed until all elements (including transcripts, references, and Statement of Intent) have been received.

Please note: Selected applicants will be required to complete an online video interview as part of their application. If you are selected for a video interview, you will receive an invitation.
