Research Professors

The NSERC CREATE Heritage Engineering Program includes 11 research professors from Carleton University, Université de Montréal and Université de Québec a Montréal. Researchers represent a range of disciplines, including: Civil & Environmental Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer & Systems Engineering, Industrial Design, Information Technology, Architecture and Indigenous & Canadian Studies. Their research and expertise encompasses the three research tracks of the program: Building Digitalization, Building Sustainability Simulation and Building Rehabilitation.

Heritage Industry Collaborators

The NSERC CREATE Heritage Engineering Program includes 18 collaborators from private architecture and engineering firms, the Heritage Conservation Directorate of Public Works and Government Services Canada, The National Trust for Canada, and international organizations such as The Getty Institute. Collaborators support the program by providing internships for students, serving on the Program Committee, providing workshops on key subjects, and participating in the annual Heritage Forum.

Students

The NSERC CREATE Heritage Engineering Program includes undergraduate and graduate students and post-doctoral fellows from a range of relevant disciplines, including: Civil & Environmental Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer & Systems Engineering, Industrial Design, Information Technology, Architecture and Indigenous & Canadian Studies. Students may participate while enrolled at Carleton University, Université de Montréal, and Université de Québec à Montréal.

NSERC CREATE Heritage Engineering provides graduate students and post-doctoral fellows with a training and internship experience in heritage conservation, in addition to and concurrent with their degree. Undergraduate students at Carleton University also receive training activities through the program.
