Institute of Environmental and Interdisciplinary Science
The Institute of Environmental and Interdisciplinary Science is a research active, interdisciplinary, Institute within the Faculty of Science at Carleton University. Two undergraduate programs are offered by the Institute, Environmental Science and Integrated Science. We offer two Certificate programs in Science and Policy and Science Communication.
The Institute is highly collaborative. Our faculty are both successful in research and also focus on excellence in undergraduate teaching. The Institute has cross-appointments with academic departments including Biology, Earth Sciences, and Geography, notable in terms of interdisciplinarity as being a unit in the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences.
