Dr. Stefania Maggi is an Associate Professor here at the Institute of Interdisciplinary Studies and teaches many of the great courses offered in the Childhood and Youth Studies program. Dr. Maggi had an interview with the Institute of Interdisciplinary Studies and discusses: her past and current research interests, what students can expect to learn in her courses, what she is excited for this year at Carleton University and much more! She is currently teaching the amazing practicum course offered to Childhood and Youth Studies students and special topics in Childhood and Youth Studies which the newest course is titled “Nature, Childhood and Youth” and is beginning this fall. Stefania Maggi does an incredible job incorporating her research such as climate change and child development into all of her courses making them very interesting and engaging. Dr. Maggi brings so much knowledge to the Childhood and Youth Studies department and we are so lucky to have her as apart of community at IIS.
