Parking and Registration at the Nepean Sportsplex, directly across from Area X.O, opens at 7AM

The only national demo day of its kind in Canada, GCXpo (formerly TCXpo) will bring together hundreds of innovators, entrepreneurs, technology developers, industry leaders, regulators, smart mobility partners and stakeholders from Canada’s Capital and across the country.

Set in Ottawa and benefiting from the hundreds of industry, government, and innovation leaders across this global tech hub, GCXpo will showcase Ottawa’s thriving tech ecosystem and the organizations that contribute technology and intelligence to future vehicles and other smart mobility innovations.

8:00 AM – Doors open. Welcome to GCXpo!
8:30 AM – Demonstrations, Exhibits, & Tours begin
12:00 PM – Lunch hour. Food Trucks onsite!
1:00 PM – Demonstrations, Exhibits, & Tours resume
4:00 PM – Event end

• Experience dozens of interactive and collaborative smart mobility demonstrations and exhibits hosted by Canadian entrepreneurs and companies, from connected and autonomous vehicles (CAVs) to drones, advanced robots, low-speed automated shuttles (LSAS), IoT and smart city solutions…to name a few
• Participate in a series of high-profile announcements and on-the-spot interviews hosted by our roving reporter, with very special guests live at Area X.O’s private track with live streaming to the world on social media
• Take a self-guided or Area X.O-guided walking tour of our technology-rich secure R&D complex for all-weather experimentation, testing, validation and demonstration – experience our capabilities on the ground
• Meet Canadian innovators and companies driving the smart mobility revolution creating new capabilities and solutions for every sector of our economy – from intelligent transportation to defence, public safety, smart farming, telecommunications, cleantech and smart cities
• Learn about the flagship projects conducted by Area X.O in collaboration with Transport Canada, including those focused on Safe Smart Intersections for Vulnerable Road Users and Safe Level-Railway Crossing
• Explore the programs, services and capabilities available to entrepreneurs, innovators and their partners through Area X.O and Invest Ottawa in Canada’s Capital and across the country
• All participating guests, delegations and media will access our secure site via shuttle bus. The event will proceed rain or shine.
