Each year, Hatch selects a group of creative, innovative, and hard-working students to develop their business ideas, explore potential business models, and create ventures or strengthen their existing businesses.

What is Hatch?

Hatch is the place for student entrepreneurs to make their ideas a reality. This 10 session incubator program, helps aspiring entrepreneurs learn how to get their startups market-ready. Students will have the opportunity to build their businesses from the ground-up whilst working alongside a plethora of diverse people, ideas, and startups.

Why join Hatch?

Through Hatch, students learn entrepreneurship essentials that include marketing, startup accounting, funding, pitching, graphic design, branding, and much more, all while working towards the advancement of their business. As you go through this program beside your peers, you will also be supported by industry experts, mentors, and entrepreneurs in residence who will help you one-on-one, to flush out your business model. This option is open to students across all faculties!

In addition to the valuable learning experience, the connections you will make, and the support you will receive, students enrolled in an Innovation Hub program will also receive a certificate upon completion. Each program challenges students in new ways and pushes them to develop specific skillsets. There’s no limit for how many programs you can complete, and we encourage passionate individuals who are willing to work hard to join any program when they are ready.  Visit the Hub and speak to our team to determine which program is right for you.

When does Hatch take place?

Hatch is delivered twice a year in the fall and winter terms. The next Hatch program cohort begins in January and will span about 10 weeks.
