Owen Lavender believes every company is a spreadsheet and a story, and is passionate about bringing the two into alignment to help founders succeed.
A recent graduate from Carleton’s International Business program, where he was awarded the Senate Medal for Outstanding Academic Achievement, Owen is eagerly engaging with Ottawa’s startup ecosystem. At Invest Ottawa, the city’s lead economic development agency, he gives entrepreneurs the tools they need to find success at each step of their journey.
Owen’s approach to business is informed by design thinking and grounded in Christensen’s theory of “Jobs to be Done”. In his free time he enjoys swimming, volunteering, and reading books for which he clearly is not the target audience.
