Rio Khademi is completing her fourth year in the Bachelor of Architecture program at Carleton University. While she is passionate about architecture and design, she uses her experiences as a female in her twenties to empower and uplift women to bring together a positive community through a podcast and media. For the Girls’ Girls Podcast is about empowering women to feel capable of walking through sexual and intimate relationship trauma-related issues. Absolving the stigma that surrounds these topics starts by speaking freely about the effects of these abusive behaviors, and giving power to many women that have found the strength to come out of the mental, physical and emotional impacts of abuse through a platform that is devoted to advocating for women.
