The Mitacs Elevate Program is now open year-round for new submissions from Carleton post-doctoral fellows.
- The Elevate program, open to all disciplines, provides critical career and skills training to postdoctoral fellows through real-world collaborations. As part of this internship, postdocs will spend approximately 50% of their time conducting research at Carleton University and 50% of their time interacting with the partner organization
- As in prior years, postdoctoral fellows can apply for 1 – 2 years of funding valued at $60,000/year in any discipline.
- Flexible eligibility criteria for Canadian citizens, permanenent residents, international applicants, and recent graduates

Elevate proposals will be accepted on a rolling basis.
- Approximate Review Time — 6-8 weeks
Through Elevate, postdoctoral fellows get the opportunity to:
- Manage a long-term collaborative research project with a company or not-for-profit organization where the Partner organization contributes $30,000 per year to the project
- Receive exclusive professional development training in career fundamentals, interpersonal skills, communication, leadership and management, and much more
- Cultivate cross-disciplinary networks and take advantage of peer-learning opportunities
