Microsoft 365 Excel Level 3 (Advanced) Virtual Workshop

November 29, 2023 at 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM

Location:Virtual Workshop
Cost:Free
Audience:Staff and Faculty

Microsoft is ending support for Office 2016 and 2019 on Oct. 10/23. The current version of Microsoft Office has been renamed Microsoft 365 to reflect its growing collection of productivity apps. In order to remain on a supported version Carleton has made Microsoft 365 available to the Carleton community early, ahead of a formal rollout in early October.  We encourage you to upgrade to Microsoft 365 by visiting the Microsoft 365 onboarding page and following the instructions.

This Excel Workshop is suitable for PC (Windows) users.  It does not include an Excel for Mac component.

During this one-day virtual workshop, participants will learn to use various tools in order to work with data using the Excel Table feature, use lookup functions, learn to easily add, edit, search for and delete data records using data forms, sort data using a variety of methods, and filter data using AutoFilter and Advanced filter.  You will work with filtered data to summarize data using various functions with the subtotal feature.  You will learn to use database functions to summarize and manipulate data in a variety of ways, including the use of pivot tables, slicers and pivot charts.
