My research is focused on identifying accessible wellness interventions for individuals living with multiple sclerosis (MS). MS is an unpredictable neurodegenerative disease affecting physical functioning, cognitive abilities, mental health, and quality of life. While disease-modifying therapies are rapidly advancing, there remains a need for improved cognitive, mental health, and stress management interventions for people with MS. I will be evaluating the feasibility of implementing an accessible app-based mindfulness intervention to alleviate stress perceived by individuals with MS. I am proud to conduct this research as a member of the Cognitive Health in Multiple Sclerosis Research Lab, led by Dr. Lisa Walker at The Ottawa Hospital Research Institute.
