Important Information for MERM Applicants

When applying for this program in Carleton360, please ensure that you declare full-time status. Students registered as full-time in MERM may take 1, 2, 3 or 4 courses without being registered as part-time. This flexibility applies to this specific program only.

The exception to the above is that MERM 5007 and MERM 5008 must be taken concurrently.

All full-time students are automatically enrolled in the Graduate Students’ Association health plan. Students living outside of Canada may request an exemption from the plan. The fee will initially appear on your student account; once the opt-out has been processed, the fee will be refunded by Carleton, generally by the end of the semester.

Students living in Canada may also opt out of the health plan if they have alternate health coverage.
