Carleton Experts Available: European Parliament Elections

As citizens of the European Union prepare to vote in upcoming elections, Carleton experts are available to comment.

Hurrelmann is a leading Canadian scholar of European integration. His research focuses on questions of politicization, legitimation and democratization in the European system of multi-level governance. He teaches in the areas of EU politics, comparative politics, democratic and state theory.

Hurrelmann serves as a co-director of the Centre for European Studies and holds the Jean Monnet Chair “Democracy in the European Union.”

Chandler specializes in the politics of Russia within the context of comparative and European politics. Her areas of interest include social welfare and politics in Russia; gender, identity and politics in Europe; comparative democratization and reform; and European politics.
