Chan is the director of Research and Education in Accessibility, Design and Innovation (READi) program – the first interdisciplinary post-secondary accessibility-training program offered in Canada. His research interests include biological signal processing, biomedical signal quality assessment, pattern recognition, assistive devices and non-invasive sensor systems.

In his role as the director of the Research, Education, Accessibility and Design (READ) Initiative, Vukovic is committed to Carleton University’s status as a national leader in accessibility. For more than 15 years, Vukovic has worked to support the success of Carleton students with disabilities – through leadership, direct student services, faculty development, applied research and professional standards. He has done research related to inclusive teaching practices of university faculty and disability-related assessments.
Larry McCloskey

McCloskey is the director of Carleton’s Paul Menton Centre for Students with Disabilities (PMC). The PMC co-ordinates academic accommodations and provides a variety of support services to students with disabilities, including one-on-one learning support, note taking, adaptive equipment loans and sign language interpretation. The PMC is recognized throughout Ontario and across Canada for its service to students with disabilities and as a leader in accessibility.
Natalie Spagnuolo

Spagnuolo (she/her/hers) is a scholar of critical disability studies who is closely engaged in a number of disability organizations. Her interests span a range of topics related to citizenship and belonging – often emphasizing anti-colonial and intersectional approaches to oppression. Her areas of expertise include critical disability theory and practice, biopolitics, political economy, and critical policy studies.
Spagnuolo has served as managing editor for disability and health-oriented journals. She is currently co-director of a community-based disability film project and workshop series.
