Carleton’s Landon Pearson Resource Centre Releases Special Issue of Canadian Journal of Children's Rights

The Landon Pearson Resource Centre for the Study of Childhood and Children’s Rights will mark the 30th anniversary of the Convention on the Rights of the Child with a celebration and release of the Disability and Children’s Rights special issue of the Canadian Journal of Children’s Rights.

The celebration will include a youth panel discussion about their experiences of disability.

When: Thursday, Nov. 21, 2019 from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m.
Where: Room 2017, Dunton Tower, Carleton
Info: This event is free and open to the public.

Media are invited to attend the event.

The celebration will provide a space for young people to talk about disability and children’s rights issues important to them. Landon Pearson will discuss the 30th anniversary of the Convention on the Rights of the Child, as well as National Child Day. The event will feature Carleton Prof. Xuan Thuy Nguyen of the Institute of Interdisciplinary Studies and Prof. Claudia Mitchell (McGill) – guest editors of the Disability and Children’s Rights special issue.
