Harasymchuk’s research interests include how people maintain happy relationships and the associated challenges. An area of this research focuses on how people become bored in their relationships, the effects that boredom has and how people cope. Harasymchuk’s work also centres on the engagement of novel couple activities and people’s expectations for excitement in relationships. Harasymchuk’s research explores different types of love, including compassionate love, as well as friendship maintenance.
