Dickson’s research interests include First Nations and citizenship/membership, criminology, dispute resolution/restorative justice, First Nations and traditional justice. She is an expert on Indigenous people and criminal justice and on Gladue and sentencing. She is a  Gladue writer.

Minich focuses on the practices of Indigenous self-determination in community, particularly Inuit self-determination practices in Nunavut. She is available to speak with media about Arctic, northern and Inuit related issues.
