David Carment

Carment is a series editor for Palgrave’s Canada and International Affairs, editor of Canadian Foreign Policy Journal and fellow of the Canadian Global Affairs Institute. His research focuses on Canadian foreign policy, mediation and negotiation, fragile states and diaspora politics.

He is the author, editor or co-editor of 21 books and has authored or co-authored over 90 peer-reviewed journal articles and book chapters. His most recent books focus on diaspora cooperation, corruption in Canada, branding Canadian foreign policy and state fragility. In 2017, Carment was a visiting scholar at the World Institute for Development Economics Research, Finland and in 2015 a Fellow at the Centre for Global Cooperation Research, Germany.

Jonathan Malloy
Professor, Department of Political Science at Carleton University

Malloy’s key areas of research include Canadian political institutions, parliamentary committees and prime ministerial leadership. He is available to discuss subjects related to Canadian politics and identity.

Malloy holds the Honourable Dick and Ruth Bell chair in Canadian Parliamentary Democracy.

His interest in parliamentary government began when he served as an Ontario Legislative intern in 1992-93. Since then, he has been teaching, writing, and thinking about Canadian political institutions. He served as president of the Canadian Study of Parliament Group from 2009-2013.

He has been a visiting Fulbright chair at Duke University and a visiting fellow at the Australian National University, and is active in the Canadian Political Science Association.
