Research Interests: Middle powers and their behaviours with superpowers; Canada’s Arctic security, civil-military cooperation, the current world order under the United States, and the China-Russian cooperation in the Arctic.
Bio: Morad is a doctoral student in Norman Paterson School of International Affairs (NPSIA) at Carleton University. He has started his PhD program in September 2023. He works as a research assistant at the Canadian Defence and Security Network (CDSN) with Dr. Stephen Saideman.
Morad taught at various institutions, such as North South University, University of Liberal Arts of Bangladesh, Northern University Bangladesh, and BRAC University in Bangladesh as an Assistant Professor and Lecturer between 2005 and 2018. He has received various grants, scholarships, fellowships, bursaries, and awards from Bangladesh, Sweden, Denmark, and Canada. Morad’s recent MA research at UBC has been especially supported by SSHRC and MINDS among others. He has published some scholarly papers in peer-reviewed journals.
