| Required qualifications | The successful candidate will be expected to design, teach and evaluate clinical courses and supervise/mentor students in the entry to practice competencies as defined by the College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO). Develop and deliver course content for as assigned, focusing on clinical (applied) nursing practice. Professional experience as a Nurse (Registered Nurse preferred. Registered Practical Nurse/Licensed Practical Nurse, Midwife or other will be considered). Preference given to applicants with experience with online teaching platforms (e.g., Zoom, Brightspace, Blackboard, HSPnet). Demonstrated competence of excellence in Clinical Practice Preference given to applicants with advanced clinical skills/certifications Ability to travel for on-site clinical placements will be mandatory The applicant must be fit to practise nursing safely in the clinical environment (without physical or mental limitations) Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills Ability to understand, interpret and carry out verbal and written instructions in the English language Clinical schedule may vary between day and evening shifts and last up to 12 hours to accommodate student placement opportunities. |
