The full Undergraduate Calendar for Nursing will be posted on our website as of mid-May and will be available on the Carleton University Calendars website. This will include the full list of courses and their descriptions.

Length of breaks between semesters can vary depending on the scheduled examination periods and the individual examination schedule of the student. The complete list of dates and deadlines for the academic year are outlined on the Carleton University Calendars website. There is roughly 1 to 2 weeks between semesters depending on when scheduled examinations take place as the examination period can be 1 to 2 weeks depending on the term. If a student’s examinations are scheduled at the beginning of the examination period they may have a longer break between terms, or if their course does not have a final scheduled examination.

Carleton University Simulation Collaborative (CUSC) is located in Kanata and will be operational for our first cohort of students as of the Winter 2026 term.
The labs are equipped with several different mannequins to simulate different patient experiences. More robust information on the facilities and equipment that will be utilized in the Nursing program will be updated shortly!
Simulation lab tours can be scheduled through Campus Tours
Scheduling and Examination Services is aware of the distance from campus and courses are arranged with commuting in mind. Please visit our Transportation page for additional information on travel to Kanata. -
The Clinical Bag and its contents are included in the ancillary fees for the program, it is not an additional purchase. Students will be receiving the backpack on their Academic Orientation day. There will be e-mail communications to students who accept their offer of admission prior to the start of the Fall term regarding the Nursing Backpack to determine sizing of scrubs, colour of stethoscope, and more.
