Admissions Data – Undergraduate
There are four admission statistics that we follow throughout the undergraduate admission cycle: applicants, approvals (offers), confirmations, and registrations.
Generally the admission statistics are updated frequently (sometimes daily at critical points), and they are presented alongside the previous year’s numbers (both matched by day and the final outcomes).
For a high level summary of the admission statistics, the Undergraduate Admission Summary report filters on Faculty.
For more detail the broader Undergraduate Admission report filters on Faculty, Department, Degree, and/or Major, as well as application choice.
Both reports can filter by application type, and by domestic or international students.

Admission Timelines for Fall Intake
Below is a generalized timeline of the admission process at Carleton University for the Fall intake. For the purpose of supporting OIRP’s Admission Reports, this timeline is helpful in understanding at which points we have increasing confidence for the various indicators throughout the cycle. For example, while there may be Approvals or Confirmations early in the cycle, the indicators stabilize later in the cycle.
Please note that year over year trends are based on matching days of the week between the current year and the previous one (e.g. Tuesday of the first week in February). Occasionally there is a disruption in the flow of data and comparative differences may be temporarily misleading (e.g. there can be an initial spike in applications in the first weeks in January from the OUAC which may not be matched by day of week).
