Whether nestled among the trees or placed along a vibrant campus path, your tribute becomes part of Carleton’s story – a place of reflection and connection for all who visit.
Plant a Tree in Tribute
Honour the memory and legacy of someone special by dedicating a tree on Carleton University’s campus – a living symbol that grows alongside our community and enriches the natural beauty of our grounds. A tree dedication is more than a gesture; it’s a meaningful expression of remembrance, renewal, and connection. Each tree is accompanied by a custom plaque placed at its base, featuring a personalized message that pays tribute to your loved one.
The cost to dedicate a tree, including the plaque, is $6,000, and donors will receive a charitable tax receipt.
Dedicate a Bench
Celebrate the life of someone special by dedicating a bench on Carleton University’s campus – a lasting gift that offers comfort, reflection, and connection to all who visit. A bench dedication is more than a memorial; it’s a meaningful place where memories can be revisited and shared. Each bench includes a custom plaque with a personalized message, creating a tribute in a space that welcomes students, faculty, and community members alike.
The cost to dedicate a bench, including the plaque, is $10,000, and donors will receive a charitable tax receipt.

We work closely with you and Carleton’s Facilities Management and Planning (FMP) team to select a meaningful location and a tree or bench that reflects your tribute. Each dedication is placed with care and maintained with pride, so its meaning continues to resonate with future students.
