On Saturday, March 22, 2025, QES scholar Claude Winnie Pefolé had the honor of being one of the 17 authors showcased during the activities of Francophonie Month at the first Francophone Book Fair in Washington DC, representing the Republic of Cameroon. The event, chaired by His Excellency the Ambassador of the Gabonese Republic in Washington DC, provided a platform for national authors from various French-speaking countries to present their literary works to a large and engaged audience. We are thrilled to announce that Winnie’s first collection of short stories, “Handicapped,” was selected as a finalist for this Inaugural Book Fair. We extend our gratitude to the diplomatic representatives of the Republic of Cameroon in DC for their support in making this incredible event a success.
