Joaquin Garcia-Alfaro

Adjunct Professor, School of Computer Science
Professor Garcia-Alfaro’s research interests include a wide range of information security problems, with an emphasis on the management of security policies, analysis of vulnerabilities, and enforcement of countermeasures. He is a reviewer for magazine and symposiums, has co-authored numerous papers in journals and conferences, and has guided several Ph.D. students in related topics. He is also involved in several research projects at national and European levels related to information and communication technology (ICT) security.
He is involved in two Ericsson-Carleton Strategic Partnership projects:
- Navigation and Control of Drones over 5G networks: Enhanced communication and adaptive control
- 5G Networks and Drone Navigation Algorithms
