Partnerships & Engagement
Entangled Paths, Boundless Potential
Quantum Connections, Infinite Possibilities
Carleton University recognizes the importance of cultivating relationships with industry to drive mutually beneficial collaborations in research and product development. Our approach revolves around the creation of tailored, mutually beneficial partnerships that address specific business needs while advancing shared goals.
In addition, Carleton strategically aligns these business needs with government and other matching programs, effectively extending the reach of research projects to explore new technologies and gain a competitive edge in the process. We also offer an inventor-owned IP policy that underscores our entrepreneurial spirit, allowing businesses the freedom to dedicate more of their resources to meaningful research pursuits.
Carleton’s Industry and Partnership Services (IPS) manages and facilitates co-operation between companies, partners, and the University’s researchers. Its professional team helps identify researchers with interests that align with industry goals and assist businesses in meeting their corporate research and development needs through collaboration with our experts.
Over 620 industry partners have made Carleton their partner of choice for their research, development and testing needs.
Our researchers actively collaborate with over 65 national research labs and institutions in Ottawa, including the Canadian Photonics Fabrication Centre.
