The goal of the Office of Research Ethics is to ensure that all research involving people meets the highest ethical and regulatory standards, while supporting Carleton investigators and promoting excellence throughout the research ethics process.
The office coordinates and provides administrative support to the Carleton Research Ethics Boards (CUREB); acts as a liaison between the Boards and Carleton researchers; is a resource to the Carleton research community; and establishes and maintains policies and guidelines on research ethics.
As Director, Gordon DuVal oversees the responsibilities of the office. He can be reached at extension 4585. Do not hesitate to call Leslie MacDonald-Hicks at extension 2517 with questions or guidance about CUREB-A and Emily Hersey at extension 4085 for CUREB-B.
