Did you know sleep apnea affects nearly 1 billion adults worldwide?

It disrupts breathing, fragments sleep, and raises risk for heart disease, diabetes, and cognitive decline. Yet diagnosis still relies on costly, clinic-based testing.

Muse is proud to share a new research collaboration with the Carleton University’s SAM3 Lab, and Ontario Centre of Innovation with support from The Royal – University of Ottawa Institute of Mental Health Research to study whether Muse S Athena’s multi-sensor data (EEG, PPG, SpO₂, movement, fNIRS) can help detect sleep apnea patterns from home.
