Design of Long-Term Care Homes: Learning for the Future – Ingenious Talks

The COVID-19 pandemic has revealed the vulnerability of long-term care homes throughout the world, with many countries reporting a troubling number of cases and deaths in these facilities. In this talk, Prof. Chantal Trudel will discuss how she and a team of researchers at Carleton will study how Canada’s long-term care homes infrastructure must be redeveloped in order to balance infection prevention and control with residents’ quality of life and care, both during the COVID-19 pandemic and beyond.

Presented by the Faculty of Engineering and Design, Carleton’s Ingenious Talks lecture series engages the community in discussions of timely and innovative ideas in engineering, design and technology.
