May 2019 Policy Update
The Senior Management Committee met on May 29, 2019 and the following policies were reviewed and updated:
- Cloud Computing Policy – updates to “Roles and Responsibilities” with the requirement to consult with ITS Security, Privacy Office, General Counsel and Business Office. Addition of “Standards, Compliance and Reliability” section.
- Corporate Records and Archives Policy – clarification under “Roles and Responsibilities” for Corporate Archivist.
- Corporate Sponsorship Acceptance Policy – new policy to provide guidance on accepting sponsorship on behalf of Carleton.
- Information Security Incident Response Policy – update to “Procedures” including departmental responsibilities and the addition of “Institutional Decision Capability” section.
- Remote Network Access Policy – addition to “Procedures” including a requirement to offload logs to control logging server and log retention.
The Vice Presidents’ Academic and Research Committee (VPARC) reviewed and updated the following policy:
- Adoption of Technology Enhanced Learning Resources – update to maximum cost that is permitted for third party technology enhance learning resources. Policy revision date changed from every two years to every five years.
