September 2020 Policy Updates
The Senior Management Committee met on Sept. 30, 2020 and the following policies were reviewed and approved:
- eCard Policy and Procedures – Minor revisions on titles of policies and departments.
- Equipment Inventory– Clarifications made under research funds, responsibility for ensuring compliance and related policies.
- Approval and Delegation of Authority – Under approval authority, General Counsel was added to Level 1, and students were removed from Level 2.
- Travel and Related Expenses – An update was made to research related travel, a clarification was made under airfare, meal costs being claimed on a per diem basis, and non-eligible travel expenses listing was updated.
- Chemical Pesticide Use Policy– Minor updates made until contact information and related policy listing.
- Password Policy for Information Systems– Unchanged.
- Acquisition of Wireless Cellular Services– A reference was added to the Carleton University Research Expenses Guideline.
- Externally Sponsored and Internally Restricted Research Fund Creation and Amendments– This policy was renamed from Research and Support Fund Creation and Amendments and rewritten including updates to the purpose, definition, statement of policy, exceptions, amendments, and fund owners.
