Administrative Staff Candidate
Question 1: I believe that I would be an excellent candidate to be considered as an Administrative Staff Governor because:
I have been a Carleton University employee for greater than 20 years. My time spent on campus has given me the knowledge and skills to succeed in a role such as this. I look forward to contributing my knowledge and skillset to the university in this new role.
Question 2: I have the following skills and experiences which would be beneficial in my role as Administrative Staff Governor:
I have worked at the university in primarily administrative rolls including budget preparation and submission, financial reporting, and software implementation. I have also served on the university’s pension committee as a trustee for the past 5 years. These experiences and skillsets will serve me well should I be chosen to represent the university in this manner.
Question 3: If elected to the Board, what would you like to gain from the experience and/or what skills would you like to further develop?
Should I be considered, I would like to further expand my knowledge of the inner workings of the university, and boards in general. I would also hope to broaden my comprehension of the higher education space in the province of Ontario.
