Please note that E-proctoring (CoMaS) is mandatory for this course and must be used for all tests and exams that require e-proctoring. This service is provided by Scheduling and Examination Services (SES). More information about e-proctoring and CoMaS is available at https://carleton.ca/ses/e-proctoring/.
Students are responsible for installing CoMaS ahead of time and making sure it is working properly on their computer before the exam. CoMaS must be running as required throughout the exam. Failure to use CoMaS or ensure that it is working properly during an exam may be considered a violation of the exam rules and could result in a review under Carleton University’s Academic Integrity Policy.
The minimum computing requirements for this service are as follows:
- Desktop or laptop computer
- Windows 10 or higher, or macOS 10.14 or higher
- NEW! Google Chrome – Chrome is the only supported browser for CoMaS and must be installed before the exam
- Reliable high-speed internet connection
- Webcam (HD resolution recommended)
Please note: Chromebooks, tablets, smartphones, and Windows-based tablets are not supported.
Students are strongly encouraged to install and test CoMaS before their exam date to make sure their computer, webcam, screen permissions, and Google Chrome are working correctly.
