We are pleased to host speakers from the Federal Government who will provide an information session on Advance Policy Analyst Program (APAP) and the upcoming recruitment campaign for APAP as well as details on the Department of Finance University Recruitment campaign.

APAP is a development program that offers an unparalleled opportunity to join the Canadian federal public service. Participants complete four challenging six-month placements across the three central agencies — the Privy Council Office, the Department of Finance, and the Treasury Board Secretariat — and one other department.
Eligible applicants are Master’s, PhD or JD graduates who exhibit leadership and academic excellence, good judgment, and analytical abilities. The APAP has the following course requirements, which may be completed at the undergraduate, graduate or PhD level:

  1. At least one half-year course in microeconomics AND at least one half-year course in macroeconomics (or an equivalent full-year course with both microeconomics and macroeconomics);
  2. At least two additional half-year OR one full-year course in economics; and,
  3. At least one additional half-year course in statistics or quantitative analysis or research methods.

Though targeted to Master’s, PhD and JD graduates, undergraduate students who may be interested in applying to the APAP in the future are also encouraged to attend.
