$25,000 Scholarships for Emerging Policy Leaders in Net-Zero Transitions (now closed)
Carleton University is offering two $25,000 scholarships to outstanding students entering the Master of Public Policy (MPP) in Sustainable Energy & the Environment program. These awards support emerging policy leaders who are passionate about accelerating Canada’s transition to a net-zero economy.
About the Net-Zero Scholarship
The transition to net-zero emissions by mid-century requires bold, systems-level change across sectors like energy, transportation, buildings, and industry. This scholarship supports students who are ready to lead that change—by building the skills to shape equitable, effective, and enduring policy solutions.
Awarded to two exceptional applicants, this $25,000 scholarship recognizes both academic excellence and community engagement, empowering students to:
- Lead policy change in climate and sustainability
- Develop real-world solutions to carbon reduction
- Shape the next generation of climate-conscious leaders

Eligibility Requirements
- GPA of A- or equivalent, plus a strong record of community engagement
- Must be an incoming, full-time MPP student
- Open to Canadian citizens or permanent residents
